it's earth hour and of course, we participated. what's one hour of darkness diba? and besides, our electricity bill has been sky high for some time now. kahit isang oras lang, makatipid din man lang. :D took this while we were hanging out at the balcony of our house.

this also symbolizes my pagluluksa as i didn't watch justin timberlake's concert at moa. siyempre, baby first over jt! i couldn't promise hun na hindi ako magpapagod e. i know it's impossible. hay!

2007: maiee in i in our bathrobes at a spa in phuket. i couldn't remember the name of the spa, sayang! i really enjoyed our stay there. i can't forget the "flower tea" and the yummy biscuits which they serve! so yummy! oh, and i remember, this is the moment i told maiee that emman and i were getting married. and she cried! iyakan blues tuloy kami habang si violago ay nasa boys wing. :))

2007: phuket beach fail! we didn't enjoy the beach here (kamala ito, pero kahit patong beach, fail!)!!! as in maiee and i stayed in the water for less than 15 minutes (while violago stayed in the shade, boo!) because medyo hindi maganda ang tubig. eekie!!! bora forever! basta if you want to visit phuket, make sure na dun sa maganda kayong beach pupunta. alam ko meron naman. ask around, don't rely on the websites!

after 5 months, we finally picked up our dvd from 30fps! hehe. medyo nadeprioritize namin kasi sa qc pa ang pick up. hanggang sa nalimutan ko na at naalala lang recently. watched it for the nth time!

oh darn it. ngayon ko lang napansin. mali ang spelling ng myls. boo!

2007: landed in phuket! before lunch and sleeping for the rest of the day (hehe), picture taking muna. this is from the balcony of our jacuzzi room at burasari resort (thanks violags!). i remember, super dumi ng paa namin. parang hindi winawalisan yung kwarto. eew. pero maganda naman. l'occitane pa nga mga bathroom products e (which we divided among ourselves, hihi).

2005: inuman sessions on a holy thursday. i know! pero i'm sure galing kami sa whole day samba niyan. :D

nope, that's not starbucks. hunny bought that cute tumbler for me when he was guiltily buying his caffeine fix one night. haha! ever since, it has contained my daily ice cold milo. nope, hindi ako naglilihi dito. mainit. kailangan ko ng cold drink. ayoko lang ng juice kasi nagsawa na ako. :) yummy!

bulging belly = depleting wardrobe. that's why i bought this contraption called the "belly belt".it's supposed to enable you to use your bottoms as your pregnancy progresses. it expands the waistband of your jeans, skirts, pants, as long as it has a button or hook/ slide fastener. the package comes with 4 belly belts, 2 of which are short in length (while belly is not yet that big, 1 button, 1 hook/ slide), and the remaining 2 are longer, if belly is big na talaga. the longer ones come with 3 panels to cover your panties in 3 colors - blue, black, and white (you will not be able to close the zippers kasi).

problem: nawala ko yung short button one. :( i don't get it. :( dito lang yun sa kwarto nawala! argh. masakit kasi it's expensive. :(( hayyy.

ever since, i have scoured every good housekeeping, food, yummy magazines i get my hands on for meals which i can easily cook. but now, i'm running out of ideas. help! i especially need recipes with veggies in them, para healthy si baby! but any recipe na delicious, send me naman please. basta hindi mahirap hanapin ang ingredients and hindi kailangan ng oven. :D pretty please? :D

i badly needed a pedicure because well, my last pedicure was a month old and i was too lazy to do it myself. and er, i find it a little difficult to slouch now with my tummy getting bigger and bigger by the week. :))

i have seen this new establishment in megamall and have been rather curious to try it. compared to other nail shops (e.g. posh nails and nail-a-holics), beauty & butter's foot spa with pedicure is more expensive by P40 to P80. but i think i got my money's worth.

the setup was very nice and colorful. for foot spa, you get to choose from 4 different types of scents (i chose mint). for the pedicure, they use their own brand of nail polish, from thailand, but they use orly for base and top coats. they ask you to choose a color from a color pallette, and not from the collection of bottles which i usually encounter. they also have a nail polish dryer, and i mean a machine, not just the quick dry polish. kakaiba lang. baka naman ganun din sa iba. i tend to scrimp on foot spa and peds, and just indulge every now and then. :)

i also like that they ask you to sign up a client form, and the next time you come back, you just mention you're an old client and indicate your name, and then they just update your records. very professional.

i am a huge fan of mozu cafe. that's why when toni and sf wanted to go out to lunch i suggested mozu, mozu, mozu (chant). apart from the yummy dishes, i love their desserts. yep, you know i am not a fan of sweets, but i definitely love their frozen brazo de mercedes and their choco lava cake.

the one on top their cheesy yema cake. masarap daw, but the two are still my faves! according to hunny - O in the mouth. :))

it's american idol season once again, first to be voted off from top 12 is lacey. no argument there. but was surprised when she sang for the judges' save. her performance was quite good. i guess it's really song choice.

on another note, i wonder why i am not as excited with american idol as before. i have been an avid follower since elliott days, but now, err... though i like ellen, she makes me laugh, and i have a huge crush on casey (hihihi). :D hope the show has some exciting themes which i can relate to in the next few weeks!

i have been married for more than a year now and gotten the hang of cooking. well, at least i'm not as clueless as before. but never have i ever perfected adobo. yeah, i know, i know, you'll say it's the easiest dish to cook, but i would have to disagree. no matter how hard i try, i will never cook an up to par adobo just like my mom's. that's why whenever i have the chance, i request my mom to cook adobo for me and hunny. she did this in a flash:

yum-my. hay nakoooooooo, when i watched her, she just puts in everything without measuring. argh. i don't think i will ever learn how. :P

i'm on vl today, so had nothing to do. yeah i know, i'm the type who uses her leaves and does nothing. well, it's pretty difficult nowadays to do anything really, if you're having lower back pains every so often.

anyway, watching tv series keeps me occupied at home. recently, hun and i discovered "white collar", a new series about a smart ex-convict who gets hired by the fbi to help them solve their cases. nice. and of course it helps that the lead actor is a hottie (matthew bomer).

ok now, off to watch the last 2 episodes on this supposedly "complete season" disc. hun is waiting for me and he can't watch the succeeding episodes without me. :P tigilan ko muna daw yung mga koreanovela. ack.

dad and i decided to have a joint celebration of our birthdays on mama's birthday. off we went to eastwood and had dinner at stackers, a 24/7 burger joint. i thought there will be minimal shell out for this dinner because the burgers were priced just right (well, a little pricey for normal lunch/ dinner), but nooooo. we're big eaters, so apart from burgers there were "side orders" of chicken, fries, rice, and mozzarella sticks. each one would have a burger and a chicken. what. next time, mcdo na lang talaga. haha. :)

yes, i have to start over. i have been a very bad blogger and have not been able to take pictures for the past several months. :( i decided to start on my birthday, just like my friend joanna. just hope that i can be as masipag as she is in documenting my 31st year on this planet. :)

my day was just spent with hunny mostly. given my condition (i'm pregnant! :)), i can't do any trips or any strenuous activities. at midnight, hunny gave me his gift, which i picked, hehe. he gave me a taupe charles & keith bag! woohoo! he would have given me some strappy flats, but que horror, no size 5 in sm! cannot believe charles & keith will run out of size 5. :( sm, panira! :P

afterwards, hunny and i opted to go to metrowalk for super late dinner at jay-j's inasal. the morning after, we ate brunch at bigby's for that free dessert again (see previous post).

after that i dropped by the church and prayed while hunny looked for his final fantasy xiii ps3 dvd. there were no stocks, so we just went home afterwards and i slept. :) pipoy came over for some late pizza dinner (as usual). this is the second year i did not celebrate my birthday with my family. ganito siguro talaga pag married ka na. but i am very happy. hunny gave me everything i wanted during my birthday. thanks hunny!

ang maganda sa pagtira malapit sa ortigas ay, pag nagutom ka, marami kang puwedeng puntahan. so this one time, nagutom si hun, we went to metrowalk and had our midnight snack at carlo's pizza. second time ko na dito (last one was in july, i blogged about it). but this second time, i know will be my last time. di masarap e. hindi mo na ito babalik-balikan. isa ito sa mga inorder namin, mozzarella sticks. i don't recall how it tastes, so it has got to be forgettable. :P

lose it! is an iphone application i became obsessed about! it's actually just a calorie counter which computes your everyday calorie intake. it actually helps you set a daily calorie target intake so you will reach your desired weight at a specific date. in my case, i was targeting to lose 12 pounds by october 16, yassy and frankey's wedding with a limit of around 600 calories per day only. ugh. didn't quite hit that mark. with hun's birthday in september and when ondoy hit, my brothers stayed with us. feast everyday, i tell you. but still, this is a pretty neat weight loss tool. i lost 5 pounds, not bad.

siguro may pimple ako when i took this (sa sobrang tagal, i forgot na). anyway, i bought this mario badescu drying lotion because the magazines say celebrities swear by it. naniwala naman ako, kasi ang mahal, P1,000++ for that small bottle. siguro naman effective diba. anyway, parang wala lang. if you have a large zit, konti lang ang iddry niya the next day. pero naglalagay pa rin ako pag meron akong pimple kasi baka impatient lang ako. and nilalagyan ko si emman at mga kapatid ko pag meron sila. it's funny kasi you will have pink spots on your face afterwards, hehe.

yay! watched "up" with hunny at robinsons movieworld 3d. the movie was really good, nakakaiyak sa simula. i looove dug! he's my favorite character. hun and i both watch his clips at youtube whenever we can (especially the porch scene). now we want a golden retriever!

watching movie on 3d is just okay. i think it did not make any difference. i think watching movies on 3d is suitable for movies which were created just for 3d viewing. i am thankful that we just found it okay because if we were elated and it becomes an addiction, movie watching would be very expensive, hehe.

yay! it's the second season of project runway philippines! so excited about this show (i'm actually waiting for it to air right now). i initially thought that it would suck, much like most of the shows we imitate. but it is very entertaining for me. it's hosted by teresa herrera, mentor is jojie lloren, and resident judges are rajo laurel, and apples aberin-(sahdwani). ei, am i the only one who noticed that apples dropped "sahdwani" when they were taping the show?

anyway, watch it every wednesdays at 10pm on etc! :D

apart from mom's chili con carne, "white beans" is the next favorite dish. or i think they're the same in rank. these bean dishes are the manialong family's main staples whenever there's a special occasion. all dishes would go to waste once either of these is served.

it was my first time to cook white beans, i guess it turned out okay. it was pretty easy, just like chili con carne, except in this dish, you use chicken and add cabbage. yummy! sorry, it doesn't look that appetizing on screen, tamad to get the digicam. :)

got hooked watching csi miami on axn early august kaya hun bought me the 7 season dibidi. i really enjoy watching this show, kahit na "oa" si horatio caine sa simula. but he sorta grows on you, and i find his way of speaking quite funny actually. hunny and i always wait for his one-liner at the start of each episode and scream right after (yaaaaahhhh!). :D

this csi for me has got the most "heart". pinaka-F kasi the characters are all quite involved with the victim. take for example alexx, the pathologist, who almost always speaks to the corpse in a loving, motherly way. weird 'no? but i like it. of course, i really like calleigh duquesne. she's astig and i find her quite funny too.

i'm still on season 2 so no spoilers please. :)

it was our first time to visit our parish, ever since we moved to our new home. normally, we would hear mass in project 4 where hunny and i got married or the church at megamall, but it became too tiring after a while. so we decided to visit the holy family parish.

the parish is quite small, unlike olmmp, but it has a quite homey feel to it. parang gusto ko dito na magsimba parati. at nainggit ako sa choir nila, gusto ko sumali. :( namimiss ko na kumanta at i-hit ang mga high notes ever. :( sadness.

more often than not, we buy our food at the carinderia across the street from our office. but i guess, someone, or something's a little more regular than us. check out this super fat and cutie dog who i think has a carinderia owner for a human:

he/ she is soooo darn cute, but nakakaawa as well 'coz it couldn't move fast because i guess of its weight. he's such a friendly dog as well. soooo cuuuteee! hope it gets enough exercise to shed off its extra pounds!

flashback 2007. this was the culminating dinner party after our "dress code challenge". there was a theme dress code everyday and if you cannot follow, you pay P10. the funds accumulated were used here, dinner at max's shangri-la. :) as mentioned in my previous posts, this has evolved and has become a company-wide activity. haha, fun!

i was really stressed out at the office that i suggested to toni and our boss sf that we head out someplace else for lunch. since neither of us didn't want to drive, we just decided to walk to pearl drive and look for decent lunch there to calm my nerves.

since toni wanted us to try sango! for the longest time, we decided to eat there, if it wasn't too busy. we were fortunate that only a few tables were occupied, and so the winner is sango!. :) i order the master burger with cheese, and it was okay. it was kinda expensive, i think my lunch was P170, burger and drink pa lang yun. i couldn't even remember the taste of the burger, but i remember lang na masarap naman. i think much of my concentration was spent on destressing, and making kwento. :P

sabi pala ni toni, mas okay yung branch sa makati kasi may cr na electronic yung toilet bowl, just like the toilet bowls in japan. haha, sayang, wala kasing sariling cr ang sango sa pearl.

flashback 2006. moving day at s. rizal! yep, we moved to this house after the house at rajah matanda. maayos dito, may garden, mahangin. kaso, tahimik. our neighbors are the snootiest because they can't stand our noise whenever we have friends over. kainis. and the roof has asbestos, so hinika mom ko. and the owner is not the friendliest, i don't like him. mukha siyang pera. still, masaya pa rin yung stay namin dito.

i'm not much of a shawarma fan, except for this one particular shawarma in project 4. it used to be located at glori's/ champion with a brand name called "roast beef". ganda ng branding diba! ang hirap hanapin! hehe. anyway, since itong glori's/ champion ay laging nalulugi at nagsasara, nawala na ring bigla si "roast beef". :(

recently though, it seems that all glori's/ champion were bought by SM, and now transformed it to their cheaper supermarket called 'save more'. lo and behold, bigla ring lumitaw si shawarma, pero stall na lang sya na maliit, pero may brand name na! it is now called "brother's" shawarma. parang burger lang e 'no? :) i guarantee you, it's the best shawarma ever. may option ka pa ngayon if you want to add cheese! mmm... yummy. :) and the garlic sauce, never fails! yum!

oh, this game is fun! but difficult! i found myself stuttering almost all the time! i couldn't seem to find the right words, which well, makes me, taboo. hehe.

toni, my officemate brought this to work as it is "bring me day", the theme of which is "indoor games". you see, each friday at the office, there will be themes alternating from outfit theme or bring me theme. these themes will be clues to a "grand costume day" at the end of the month where each goodthinker will dress up based on the overall theme for that month. for example, this july, here are the themes:

first friday: wear something blue

second friday: bring anything with rainbow colors

third friday: jacket day

fourth friday: bring an indoor game

based on the clues, have you guessed the theme for the month? :)

what's astig about the last friday is that, we got to play a chosen indoor game for an hour!!! and for the quant team, we got to play taboo! yay! fun talaga! i'm a sucker for word games kasi.:) i even borrowed the board game from toni, but i realized, hmm... no one to play with! fail!

yep, developed an addiction to monster radio ever since we had niqui. you see, i never get to listen to the radio. i always rely on my zen or ipod for music, kaya minsan, os-la na, dun ko lang nalaman yung kanta, or i never get updated at all. :P

the reason however i got addicted to monster radio is because of the morning rush (6am-10am, m-f, aga na kasi namin magising diba), with chico and delamar. i find their tandem very funny, particularly chico. :) i am a fan, even of his blog, and his photography even. :) and what do you know, he loves cats! :) wala lang, aliw. :) emman meanwhile can't get enough of del's voice. bale, na-impluwensyahan ko rin siya. :) he also tunes in at the office, and even participates in the top ten surveys, haha! :)

we were supposed to watch hp6 with my whole family, but tinamad si dadad, so hun and i decided to watch na lang after our first gym appointment at gold's, galleria. we just realized, walang tao sa mall na ito! to think that it was the first weekend of hp6, wala pa rin masyadong tao. bakit hindi na lang kami dito nagpupunta? kaygulo kaya sa megamall! buti na lang arden recruited us sa gold's, else, we wouldn't have discovered that this mall is way less chaotic than megamall. :) madali pa parking! :)

after a month or so, saka ko lang natapos ang "new moon". bakit ganun? nabitin ako. yun na pala ang climax ng story? parang hindi climax? weird lang. tinatamad tuloy ako bilhin yung 3rd book. siguro after na lang i read "twenties girl" na napabayaan ko na rin. :P

ang hirap para sa isang ofw na pagkasyahin ang bakasyon niya sa pinas para makita ang mga kaibigan niya. buti na lang at nareserba namin ang buong araw ni shek para sa mga matagal na naming binabalak ni toni - mag-divisoria at mag-ace water spa! grabe!!! 630am, i was on my way to UP to fetch shekee but it was raining hard and so traffic! then we met up with toni at san antonio, then off we went to divi!

akala namin mga 1pm, done na kami magshopping, but no! grabe, buong araw!!! kulang pa! :P kami pa talagang 3 ang nagsama-sama! :)

nahuli tuloy ang aming ace water spa, and ok din, kasi at least, konti lang ang tao. note lang, pag mag-ace water spa, be sure to wear one-piece bathing suit. hindi puwedeng two-piece kasi you are always on the lookout if your bra came off or something. even tankini, wag po. kasi aangat din sa lakas ng pressure ng tubig. :P

we capped off the night with dinner at aysee, a famous sisig place in pasig. this time, kasama na namin si arden na sinundo pa namin sa office niya at 11pm! ang tagal talaga namin magkasama diba, but it was a whole lotta fun! :)

with my mom at the intercon hotel in makati (yes, leave ako, yay!). dito kasi pinapapick-up ng gold's gym ang IDs namin. bakit ba naman kaylayo? pagkakuha nga namin, sos, parang calling card lang pala na may name sticker na nakadikit. labo. puwede naman yun gawin sa galleria. :P anyway, at least nalaman ko na mura lang ang valet parking sa intercon (P55 for 2 hours), wag lang lalagpas kasi P45 na kada dagdag na oras. naglamiyerda na lang kami ni mommy sa makati ng 2 hours. hehe.

2,768 km in barely 4 months. that means, if we continue with this much usage, we'll probably have niqui back to the casa in around 3 months. tagal pa pala.

hay, ang aga kasi niyan kaya wala akong magawa, 5:51am! kakahatid ko lang kay emman sa office.

flashback 2007. margarita/ despedida night with my girls! paalis na kasi kami nito sa project 4 (huhu). gamit ko na ang shaker and martini glasses! cuervo margarita yan, masarap! :)

yes, i'm driving on counterflow. ganito talaga sa area na ito (at my parents' house) dahil kung hindi nila binuksan ang counterflow, super duper traffic ang aabutin mo (see right side of picture). it's my first time to drive on this side of the road, astig!

so what was i doing driving FROM my parents' house back to ortigas at freakin' 6:19am on a monday??? well, kaya nga pala ako nasa amin kahapon ay dahil sinundo ang mga brothers, tapos natulog sila sa bahay namin dahil sa ufc. ang galing dahil nalimutan daw nila (jay and pipoy) ang mga sapatos nila sa bahay. *clap clap clap* hindi pa rin sila nagbabago! :P mega madali ang beauty dahil ayaw makasagupa ng kalokohang traffic. buti na lang 6am ang pasok ni emman. hay i miss my bros' kalokohan, and i'm sure they miss ate's endless nagging. :)

talagang tig-isa sila ng upuan diba! hehehe. these are our dogs, smith and birch. they are real sweeties! look at birchee, sad-faced pero nakakaloka 'yan! katawa yung mata niya 'no? pati tuloy si smith nahahawa. :P blog ko naman daw sila, puro na lang daw kitties. :)

so much happened this day, but i just have to blog about our experience at bigby's. it was our first time there but customer service is really felt in this place. servers were very accommodating and friendly. they even gave us this free dessert because it was our first time!

the food hunny and i ordered was delicious, though i still liked the chops at gumbo better. but still, masarap naman. and the dessert is really good! it's even better than the choco lava cake at mozu! :O

if you're at the mega atrium, be sure to visit this place. and better tell them it's your first time. :)

carlo, a fellow goodthinker gave me this tickles sign a few years back when he was still in the philippines. he said he remembered me when he saw the sign so he bought it for me. he's such a sweetie talaga, i miss him. he'll be home in october according to jumie! hope to see him by then. :) thanks for this roger!

i don't know why everytime i shop, i tend to buy shoes more than clothes. i remember before i got married, i threw/ gave away nearly 50 pairs of shoes. not counting flip-flops ha. and i still left some pairs at my parents' house. them wouldn't fit in our puny apartment! so there. dun muna sila. hehe. :)

flashback 2007. maiee was in the philippines and i only got to see her for a split-second when she dropped off a giordano shirt which i asked her to buy for me in singapore (hehe). sa tapat ng office ko 'yan. i remember though, nakahabol pa si hunny 'coz his training venue was just across the street. :) miss you maiee!!! foot spa uli tayo! kelan ang balik mo dito sa pinas? sama mo si don! :D

i bought this stove-top grill at daiso for P88. i used it recently to grill a fish, but it did not deliver as expected. kailangan talaga ata natatamaan siya ng apoy or something. masyadong malansa pa rin e. anyway, it is still useful for me because i get to cook pinangat na isda easily there. i just season the fish with salt, put it on a sheet of foil, put 1 sliced onion and 1 sliced tomato, seal it, put it on the grill, and cook it over low fire. if the foil expands, then you know the fish is cooked. easy peasy and very deelish!

hun's work is too early! his shift starts at 6-freakin'-AM! and i have no choice but to bring him to work because the gate where he exits is still closed before 6am! ugh. look o, foggy pa yung taas ng buildings! well, this has been my routine for about a month now. :P hatid, uwi, tulog or gym, office. :P
