is there a rehab for cellphone addicts? please let me know so i can confine my husband there. :P here he is buying yet another cellphone, a nokia n79.

in fairness to him, wala na kasi siyang personal cellphone coz he gave me his iphone. the nokia e71 is his office phone. wala siyang magagawa dahil taga-nokia na siya, hehe. :) magsawa siya sa cellphone dun! :D

june 26, 2009: anvaya

we had our "summer" outing at anvaya. hahaha! it is no surprise that we had our outing in june, laging late, except for a year or two. but, with the unpredictable weather we're experiencing right now, you can't really tell if it's summer or the rainy season! and so, goodthinking decided to hold its 6th summer outing at anvaya cove. it's our 2nd time there, as we held our planning there last year. this time though, no work involved! yay!

as a group activity, the outing committee decided on holding a volleyball tournament. what! anuba! ano naman ang maitutulong ko? i remember, i felt bad when i was in high school 'coz my classmates think i'm a weakling at sports (super payat ko kasi nun, those were the days!). so i asked my mom to buy me my own volleyball and i practiced on my own. but since its just a semester of PE, wala namang follow-through. and i already joined the dance troupe so wala na akong PE. :)

so anyway, imagine my surprise, our team won! woohoo! thanks to our mvp, my boss, SF. :) ako, siguro naka-2 points (puwede na yun, ok??!). and pumapasok ang mga serves ko, so i was happy. :) here's a picture of our team:

june 25, 2009: charlie's grind and grill

always wanted to try this burger joint nestled in brgy. kapitolyo, so after office, my team and i decided to search for it. madali lang naman hanapin, kahit naligaw kami ng konti.

at first, i was expecting something er, chaka, but nooooo, medyo sosy yung place! kasi naman, ang description ni isay, maliit lang siya na may katabing car wash. well, totoo naman, pero super ayos nito! at haller, ang pinakamurang burger ay P145! we tried the angus beef burger, i think that was more than P150, but less than P200. it was huge! as in! masarap naman, but i can't say that its the best. what i wanted to try was the portobello mushroom burger (the best burger i ever tasted from carl's jr.), but it was almost P300! ohmy, ayaw, ang mahal! next time na lang, wasn't expecting to spend so much that night!

anyway, wala akong matinong picture ng burgers o ng charlie's, pero matino ang kuha naming tatlo nina juriz at isay, hehe. :)

june 22, 2009: chicken curry

my husband is obsessed with chicken curry. that's why i'm sad as i was not very successful in cooking this dish. :( it was okay, but it tasted so ordinary, nothing like what my mom used to whip up. ugh. ang hirap talaga pag ang standard ay nanay mo. hayayayay. :D for sure, you won't see this just yet in my cooking blog, hehe. :P

june 21, 2009: dadad's day

after so many flashbacks of fathers day, here's dad during this year's fathers day! :) happy fathers day dadad!

june 20, 2009: goodbye bibit

mabubuko na kami! at sobrang hirap na niya alagaan dahil ang ingay niya (heat kasi)! kaya we really had to say goodbye to bibit! he now lives in my parents' house. this is a picture of him with kiefer, ang kulit, sinisilip! haha. di pa sila friends. ang sungit kasi ni kiefey! heat din naman, pakipot!

june 19, 2009: 7 years, 7 months

woohoo! grabe, ang tagal na namin! and ang tagal na naming kasal! syempre, hanggang ngayon, uso pa rin sa amin ang monthsary! hindi naman kami nagbibigayan pa ng regalo, pero hanggang ngayon, we still try to make it a point na we do something together like, on this day, we had dinner and watched a movie. this was taken at the kebab factory, mega atrium.

surprisingly, i really like their food here, particularly the chicken mast and beef kebab (i hope i got it correctly). so yummy! the chicken is so succulent and juicy, even though breast part siya! yummy talaga. the movie we watched was "the taking of pelham 123". ok lang naman. john travolta is still the man!

i wonder how we'll spend our 8th monthsary? malapit na 'yun! delayed kasi mga posts ko, hehe.

mababaw lang ang kaligayahan ko. napapasaya ako ng mga simpleng bagay tulad ng... gel pens!

yes! hehehe. i love colorful gel pens! and my favorite is the love pet version from monami. manipis lang kasi yung sulat and madulas isulat. and P20 lang siya! astig. dami ko 'no? sana dagdagan pa nila ng kulay! oc pa ako, i use one color per day, so if you take a look at my planner, very colorful, i love it! hehe. babaw ko talaga. :)

june 17, 2009: hypermarket

ever since i got married, i was so worried how we will survive. to tell you the truth, i was a bad daughter, i didn't help much around the house. my mom pampered us so much, we grew up to be tamad. hehe. excuses, excuses, but i am very thankful i have such wonderful parents. anyway, because of my katamaran, one of the skills i never learned is to cook. you see, again, it's my mom's fault! how can i learn cooking when she does it all the time? it's her passion, and she's really good at it, so why the heck would i want to intervene?

i also never learned to buy fresh produce. and i'm afraid of going to the wet market, up to now. :( if ever i plan to go to a wet market, i would need my mom! she will do all the talking and haggling and checking for freshness and all that. so until now, i do my fresh produce shopping at sm hypermarket. mom says it's more expensive there, but when i told her the prices, she said that the difference is negligible because we only buy just for the two of us. this was taken during one of our shopping trips there.

the first time i was buying beef, i remember how clueless i was. uhm, where the heck is the "sirloin"? the recipe said it needed "sirloin", but i couldn't find any at the monterey rack. hmmm... i didn't want to ask if it was called by another name, because i might sound stupid. haha. i really had a hard time, because i also wanted some beef for my nilaga but i didn't know what to get. a while ago, i had to call my mom to ask what "kalitiran" was, and if it was okay to buy it for the chili. sheesh.

anyway, i'm thankful there's sm hypermarket, because almost everything i need is there. fresh produce, dry goods, even clothes, furniture, home furnishings, its all there! not to mention the other stores like a bookstore, cd-r king (yay!), california nails and day spa, lto (yes! quite fast application here), barber, photo shop (can't remember name), express spa, watsons, office warehouse, ace hardware, ophthalmix, etc. of course, the food establishments are a plus too like a veneto (yum!), savory chicken (yum!), kitaro, icings, etc. when you get bored with the food here, you can just cross the street to tiendesitas! parking at a fixed rate of P25 is also a plus. even when hun and i didn't have a car, it was really easy getting a cab to this place and back to our place, so its really accessible. also, it's open till 11pm! woohoo! i'm very happy there's sm hypermarket 'coz i sure wouldn't survive shopping at sm supermarket in megamall. ugh.

june 16, 2009: uso...

...ang allergy. ako naman ay may allergic rhinitis. some of you know how i sneeze, halos di marinig. but this time, i was sneezing so crazily, as in! actually, i think it started friday (june 12). oh yeah! kaya ko pala napicture-an yung body choco, kasi naglilinis ako nun ng ref. yes, naglinis po kasi ako last friday, holiday while my husband worked. astig! as in i w

as enjoying talaga! but oops, once i inhaled too much dust, my sensitive nose acts up. :( dagdagan pa ng isang kaha ata ng yosi ng isang tao na ibinuga sa mukha ko kinagabihan (itago na lang natin ang kanyang identity).

kaya hayun, had myself checked up at clinica adarna (sick leave pala ako nito). ayaw ni mommy sa medical city kasi baka maraming naglipanang virus. o sige, pumayag naman ako. dr. adarna was the best, alam niya lahat ng nangyayari sa aking mga sakit-sakit, astig! madami tuloy follow-up check ups. pero sa medicard na lang para walang bayad. :)

anyway, ang point lang ng blog na ito ay niresetahan na naman ako ng mga gamot. pill popper forever. kailangan ko din daw ng matinding ascorbic acid (3x a day na 500mg) with a glass of water (para makaiwas sa kidney stones). kasuka. :P

june 15, 2009: allergy

whenever pipoy visits us, he itches all over. and since he already has a history of allergies and asthma, i guess you know why he's like that:

oh yes. and papansin kasi talaga, bibit would not let this moment pass. imagine, a visitor! of course he would want to be stroked by the visitor! so there he was, trying to squeeze in between pipoy and i, kahit ayaw namin at pinagtutulakan na namin siya paalis.

pipoy was already itchy all over, coughing, and had pink rashes on his face after about an hour so i had to bring him home asap for fear of a major allergy attack. tsk tsk, kulit kasi ni bibit!

june 14, 2009: m-iphone

sa wakas, natupad na ang pangarap ni hun na magka-iphone ako! and yes, ito ay dahil pinamana na niya ang kanyang iphone sa akin. hehehe. nope, hindi ako bumili! kakabili ko lang kaya ng sony ericsson c902 ko! :O but he had to let go of it 'coz he now works for nokia. hehe. still, he is thankful he owned it because the iphone landed him a promotion (it showed how techie he is).

thanks hun! ambait mo talaga. look o, he even customized the icons and made them pink. he knows kasi i will be bored with the drab black color. hehe. mwah!

i know i am a rejector of iphone before, but i just love the mail, facebook application, the twitterfon, car care, scrabble, lexitron, sally's salon, sally's spa, supermarket mania, the sims 3, etc. especially facebook and twitter. haven't tried the blog writer!

meet jaja, hun's dog. she is such a sweetie and she loves emman dearly. whenever we visit mama, she hugs him and tries to squeeze herself in emman's arms! hahaha. :) she would also try to extend her paws so you can shake it, one after the other. :) so cute!

june 11, 2009: spontaneous kitties

on the day of the pussycat dolls concert, toni and i suddenly decided to watch it. just happened to talk about and bam, okay, tara! bahala na kung may tickets o wala! we just went to moa, relax, not too excited to get a ticket, para hindi masyadong disappointing kung wala na. but we were still able to! :) and kuripot kami, bronze lang puwede na! basta may malaking screen! :D lugi ako, di ko naman nakikita ang stage whatever i do, kahit malapit. :P (palusot) pero seriously, i didn't even see a finger of the pussycat dolls. all the while we were facing the screen. hehe.

enjoy naman kami, and busog. ang ganda ni nicole. pero i really didn't like melody's voice! boses k*** sya! argh, bat siya pinapakanta? hay.

flashback 2007: weeeee, our first purchase for our wedding... our wedding bands! woohoo! it was a simple band of white gold and yellow gold with one small diamond. got them 30% off from meicel jewelry at the ultimate wedding and debut fair at sm megamall! :) when we got them last october, regular price increased by 20%! buti na lang nagreserve na kami agad. photo taken by our friend karen, na birthday kahapon! :) belated happy birthday!

june 9, 2009: glass

our wood dining table at the office got replaced by a glass one. this was actually the old table at the mezzanine unit. but i like this better. sana sinama na lang ito sa auction. :) i really like glass tables or at least, tables with glass tops because they are easier to clean. less worries, hehe. in short, tamad. :) i am tired of our wood table with clear plastic protection. i have yet to find a store which makes glass tops. san kaya meron sa pasig?

june 7, 2009: the kebab factory

looks like hun and i are scouring the mega atrium, hehe. :) we tried this restaurant because of the promo (again! hehe), they have buy 1 take 1 shawarmas. i am not a fan of shawarmas that much (except for the one in glory's before), but i wasn't hungry much, so i gave in.

i ordered chicken in pesto shawarma. hun ordered beef with something. o diba, may flavors pa. apart from these, hun couldn't resist an order of their chicken mast. shawarmas were okay, not much of a fan still, but the chicken mast, oh so yum! may promo din, astig P150 lang, originally at P250. puwede na! :) yummy talaga yung chicken mast, promise.

june 6, 2009: koko turns 18

i met koko 5 years ago, and guess what, the cutesy little girl is now 18! though she is teensy

weensy in size, koko is very mature for her age. at 13, i can already talk to her about anything and everything under the sun. or di kaya ako lang ang isip teenager? *wink wink*

this photo was taken during her 60's style birthday bash at philam homes. how lovely she is. makes me wanna throw my own party just to dress up. :) back then, i thought the theme was going to be "united nations" where everyone would dress up in the native costume of the

country assigned to him/ her. hahaha! seriously, we planned this way back! but i guess the 60's theme seems more realistic and less ridiculous. hihi. :)

the party was a blast, the program was interactive, the performers were great! i never saw a pool of young talents cooped up in one venue. astig.
